Wireless Broadband for Linux
By vlleer
It's no surprise that installing wireless broadband for linux is a challenge for most people. This problem is usually caused by the fact that most wireless network providers do not set up their products with the Linux OS in mind (I use the Ubuntu distribution for all my mobile devices including this laptop). It is interesting to note that more often than not, these products are usually tailor fit for either Windows or MacOS. This is quite a saddening thought since I believe that provisions for Linux systems should be integrated in the different products out in the market and not just restricted to two brands of OS. I'm quite sure most linux users would agree with me on that previous point. I strongly feel that something really has to be done about it. Anyway though (pardon the short digression), a solution to this unfortunate conundrum is indeed possible. In this age of Information the web is replete with pertinent info about wireless broadbands for linux, and ways to make them work. I suggest that you check these resources out as they will indeed help you in cracking this "problem." If however, you have yet to buy one, there are a lot of companies which sell these products at very affordable prices. All you have to remember is that even though these wireless broadbands for linux "restrict" usage to Windows and Mac users, it is very much possible to make it work in your linux system.
